ground water

Many people have problems getting their ground water to the perfect, powdery consistency. This problem is now a thing of the past. Thanks to the new Water Grinder 3005, everyone can have soft, granulated water! With it’s patented, easy to clean No-Klog system, the Water Grinder 3005 is a must have appliance for the kitchens of the fluid-savvy, and it is perfect to carry around to look even cooler than you already wish you were!

Okay, this isn’t really a product. It’s the name of my weblog’s sleek, new admin front-end. This front end offers me nothing more than a fancy entry to my old admin system, but it looks hella’ tight.

In other design news, summer blues is looking nicer day by day. It now has all the functionality that one would expect on my site. I am currently working on a random header graphic script. What does that mean? More work for me, but a snazzier (and different) site each time you view it (unless you get the same graphic--then it has the same snazziness as before). I also looked at some of the code running somery and fixed a problem that has been bugging me. Previously, if you entered “www.mysite.com” in the URL field, it would set your URL as “http://subtlepen.danwa.net/ www.mysite.com”. That wasn’t correct, so I fixed it to automatically add the “http://”. I also cleaned up the links, removing the ones that weren’t active. If you would like to be on my list, just tell me. Those guys need company.

Now, for news you might care about more (unless you care about designing with somery while keeping usability and standards in mind). Today, I made a lot of advances on this project that I am working on involving sensor networks driven by TinyOS. I’ve only got one more week of work left during this break, so I’ll start working on some documentation (because the documentation I received was severely lacking) for the higher-ups.

The way the mind works really amazes me. I have spent the better part of three weeks looking at the same bland code over and over again. I didn’t understand any of it. However, I started looking at it today and it all seemed to fit. Everything I didn’t understand just clicked, and I made the little buggers do what I wanted them to do. That same thing has happened to me several times during my life. One day I was sitting in Calculus II, happily confused. Then, I started working a sample problem and everything was perfectly clear. I then made 96+ for the next two semesters. I don’t really understand how it works, but it really is an uplifting feeling. I feel very relieved.

Anyway, I need to start getting some ideas of what is going to go in my book, and what needs to be reworked. If you have a personal favorite post, or one that just has to go into the book, tell me. The more input I get from my readers then the more I want to do this. My mom is great and everything, but if she is the only one who likes my writing then that isn’t very comforting. If you have an idea or a thought that you would like to see written on, tell me. If you say something like “The Battle of Gettysburg,” no--I won’t do your homework for you. Try again.
